This is both the coolest Web-related thing I've seen this month, and a nasty hack that makes me feel ill.

Of course, I'll probably now try and use it in anger...

Yeah, I think Mike Jewell pointed that out the other day. Give it fallback capability to images, and it looks like it could be a cool thing for Mediawiki/LaTeX2HTML to use. Or, at least, it would if LaTeX2HTML wasn't such a crufty old piece of shonk. But Mediawiki, heck yes.

Sure, it works, but it looks nowhere near as good as TeX. Or even eqn and troff for that matter ;)
