My take is: 1. That forums are easier for most (non-techie) people, editing a wiki page is much more complicated than posting a reply on a forum. 2. Forums are better for "conversations". 3. Things like house details (getting there, room allocations, etc) (ie static content) seem better suited to a wiki
So I think that both a forum and a wiki would be the best solution - I bet there's not an integrated solution.
