64.25 metres of shelving to be precise. Now all we need to do is move around some of the existing shelves to fit all of our oversized books (mainly [livejournal.com profile] ias's photography books and my gaming stuff) and unpack the remaining boxes. But before that, a poll!

We've done two book culls in the past 6 months and we still have too many:( Quite a few were offloaded onto others for their collections and the others went to an Oxfam book bank over by the local recycling deposits. I'm trying to have the 1 in 1 out policy, but like Ruth said they breed at a tremendous rate for some reason. I'm still trying to get a PDA and then I can get electronic books, they take up no space and there's no danger on klonking a bubsy on the head when you're trying to turn a page " "

Now we also have the bubsys books, the bottom shelf of the unit in the living room is entirely took up with their favourites and they have loads more in the nursery... imagine what it's going to be like when they can read?!
