nmgArse. My desktop's hard drive has just failed. I'm now extraordinarily glad that I decided (on a whim) to backup and install a newer version of Linux (Fedora) on it last week.

Date: 2004-02-26 05:18 am (UTC)Fiona had her HD die a few months back. No recent backup, no recovery. It wasn't a very old PC, though, so shedidn't lose much and got the drive replaced under guarantee.
Incidentally, are you the Nick Gibbins on Orkut?
