As seen and responded to on [livejournal.com profile] jorune and [livejournal.com profile] mhw:

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want – good or bad – BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

Oh, how I remember that time, that wonderful time, with the giraffes, and the supermarket, and the costumed raiders with feathers in their hats. Your reactions were so balletic, and so well timed. *sigh* Good times!

I remember when you proposed to me and slipped my engagement ring on my finger.

Barton was about 10 when we carried out the deed. I was 16, Nick less so. It was only when we lowered him into the barrel that we began to have second thoughts. Perhaps the vinegar was too acid. Perhaps the wood would leak. Maybe we'd been heard as we carried him from the house. Maybe he hadn't known after all.

Nick's parents believed us when we told them that we hadn't seen Barton all afternoon, and after a few months everyone seemed to have forgotten. I don't know what happened to the barrel, what happened to Barton. I think Nick may still have it in his basement.

I remember the time when a film didn't turn up for BUFS, but being the good sport you were, you joined the rest of the Committee in a spirited retelling of the story of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I remember that you made an excellent Sirius Black.

One of my fondest university memory is of that day when we put on matching pink tutus and gave impromptu head-banging performances all over campus. You were having problems with your elastic waistband, I kept forgetting the steps. But didn't we raise awareness of the all-new ballet-rock hybrid that was set to wow the world...

It has to be the time we chased the unicorn across campus! Sure, we didn't get him, but I shall never forget the sun-dappled leaves, and the lemurs' dance.

In the name of science you resequenced your body as candy floss and it was a totally mellow vibe. You were looking to become orange juice but we ran out of coins for the machine.

Six words, buddy...
